A 2012 book and deck set written by John Matthews, illustrated by Wil Kinghan with translations of quatrains by Caitlin Matthews. Nostradamus tended to use astrology and scrying (into a pool of oil/water) to divine his verses. John writes a potted history of the seer as well as the ‘Vaticinia Nostradami’ which are possibly paintings by Nostradamus. These ‘Nostradamus’ are much more biblical allegories rather than Tarot but there are cross overs. In this deck which is loosely inspired by those paintings has used Stars for Swords, Suns for Wands, Moons for Cups and Spheres for Pentacles. The pictures are anointed with astrological symbolism, but I find a cluttered but interesting deck. John and Caitlin are very respected authors, so the book is as if not more interesting than the cards.
